By visualising and analysing contemporary experience of knowledge production Connecting the Dots reveals the complex underlying socio-political rules, restrictions and hierarchies that govern our digital world. The selected works and texts point out that even though today ‘truth’ and knowledge seem to be produced in a more democratic way because more people than ever before can contribute content to shared websites, open access does not automatically lead to a more democratic and emancipating formation of truth and knowledge.
